But the afternoon I spoke to her, Fodor would be helping with the aquarium’s hammerhead sharks. Which would mean one thing if she would be diving into a tank of octopuses or cute little clownfish. In her job, she monitors animals’ health, cleans their exhibits, and feeds them, which can include diving into their tanks. “An aquarist is someone who is responsible for taking care of the fish and invertebrates at the aquarium,” Fodor explains – it’s another word for an aquarium keeper.
